My name is Miss Emily Stahl. I teach Kdg-8th Grade Art at Stark County Elementary & Junior High. On a normal school day, I travel between Toulon and Wyoming, starting my day with the Junior High students in the morning and ending my day with the little ones at the Elementary school.
I am 31 years old and graduated from Galva High School in 2002. Galva is a neighboring community and I feel right at home in the Stark County CUSD, with it's small town values and strong community ties.
Upon graduating high school, I attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois where I majored in K-12 Art Education with a concentration in Drawing. I graduated from Bradley with my Bachelor of Arts in May 2007.
After graduating Bradley University, I was employed by the Galva CUSD as an aide for special needs students. While at Galva, I also had the opportunity to substitute teach, tutor at an after school program and with students individually. All of these opportunities reaffirmed the fact that teaching was indeed what I was meant to do.
I was hired at Stark County in October of 2013 and have enjoyed every minute since then. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such enthusiastic students and supportive staff on a daily basis.
In my spare time, I like to create Art for FUN! I am also an avid reader. During my summer vacations, you will most likely find my nose in a book! I love to spend time with my family and friends, doing anything and everything, or absolutely nothing! My favorite time of the year is fall. Fall means football and football means the Green Bay Packers. Go Pack Go! Nothing brings a smile to my face like cuddles from my sweet pug, Amos Cash.
I look forward to having the opportunity to meet all of you. If you have the chance, stop by the Art room(s) and say hello and check out what projects we are creating! You can also always feel free to contact me via email: [email protected]
